Tuipulotu quietly blossomed into a disruptive player last season, improving upon his 4.5 sacks his rookie year to 8.5 in 2024 while still functioning as one of the team's better run defenders along the front line. With Khalil Mack clearly on the back nine of his career and little more than retread pass rushers or unproven youngsters behind Tuipulotu on the depth chart, the Chargers are depending on the USC product to take yet another leap to aid an inconsistent defense.
