Evans needed a Week 18 catch in garbage time last season to extend his legendary streak of 1,000-yard campaigns, but it was only a close call in the first place because he missed three and a half games with a hamstring injury. He averaged 17.2 PPR points, his most since 2019, despite playing second fiddle to Chris Godwin early in the year. Godwin and Evans both were injured during the same game, with the former suffering a season-ending ankle fracture. Evans went on an absolute tear when he returned a month later and didn't have Godwin competing for Baker Mayfield's attention, averaging 6.9 receptions for 95.6 yards on 9.3 targets over the final seven games of the regular season (five TDs). The Bucs are bringing back all their starters on offense from last year, but they weren't able to keep standout coordinator Liam Coen, who now runs the show in Jacksonville and will be replaced by internal promotion Josh Grizzard. The on-field continuity is promising, although it's hard to imagine anyone can match the phenomenal job Coen did in 2024. There are two other concerns for Evans -- the first being target competition from Godwin, Jalen McMillan and first-round pick Emeka Egbuka, while the second potential problem is father time. Evans will turn 32 before Week 1 and has seven hamstring injuries on record, although he's yet to show any other signs of slowing down and has a remarkably clean medical sheet apart from the hamstring troubles.
