Taken 92nd overall in last year's draft, McMillan was the subject of considerable camp hype and won Tampa Bay's No. 3 WR job before Week 1, but it wasn't until December that he broke through as an important part of the offense. Heading into Week 14, he'd played eight games and missed four with injuries, catching 13 of 27 targets while failing to take advantage of injuries to Chris Godwin and then Mike Evans. The rookie then scored seven TDs over the final five games of the regular season, with at least four catches, five targets and 57 total yards in each contest, before quieting down some in a playoff loss to Washington (2-41-0). The Buccaneers decided to re-sign Godwin anyway, and then took Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka in the first round, all after losing offensive coordinator Liam Coen to Jacksonville -- a trio of developments that harm McMillan's breakout case for 2025. The other concern is that he's merely average athletically, having put up a 4.47 40 and 37-inch broad jump at the 2024 Combine, where he checked in at 6-1, 197. Egbuka has similar measurables, backed by a more prolific college career and superior draft capital, which means McMillan may eventually drop to fourth on the depth chart despite his strong finish to last year.
