For his long-term projection, Egbuka did well to land in Tampa Bay with the 19th overall pick, joining a franchise with a solid quarterback and a strong recent track record of success. Egbuka's Year 1 fantasy projection is less promising, as the Buccaneers not only return WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin but also saw 2024 third-round pick Jalen McMillan come on strong late in his rookie season. Like his new teammates, Egbuka is no burner, having run a 4.45 40 at his pro day after averaging 14.0 yards per catch on a school-record 205 receptions at Ohio State, where he played more than two-thirds of his snaps from the slot. At 6-foot-1, 202, Egbuka won't necessarily be limited to the slot in the NFL, and his alignments for 2025 will at least partially depend on which of Evans, Godwin and McMillan ends up missing time. For dynasty leagues, Egbuka remains a priority, and potentially an excellent bargain if others are concerned about the obstacles to big-time volume in Year 1. For redraft, the aforementioned concerns are a huge factor, making Egbuka a bench stash rather than a projected starter.
