Onyemata is entering the final season of a three-year contract he signed ahead of the 2023 campaign. He missed three games that season but has been productive in Atlanta when healthy, totaling 95 tackles (48 solo), including 7.0 sacks, four pass defenses and two forced fumbles in 31 games. Onyemata's two highest tackle seasons have come in Atlanta, but he had a career-high 6.5 sacks with the Saints in 2020. The Falcons replaced Grady Jarrett with Morgan Fox this offseason, plus Zach Harrison and Ta'Quon Graham will return, so Onyemata's role is expected to remain the same in 2025.
