Pennel earned a chance to re-sign with the Chiefs after demonstrating consistency in 2024. After spending most of 2023 on the team's practice squad, he earned a consistent rotational role last season, finishing the year with 25 tackles, including 3.0 sacks, and one forced fumble while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. That marks Pennel's career-best sack total. He'll again play a regular weekly role in the pass rush rotation for 2025.
