Selected in the seventh round out of Rutgers in the 2025 Draft, Monangai could prove to be a steal for the Bears. While he doesn't have breakaway speed or much in the way of receiving skills, Monangai is surprisingly nimble in traffic and has strong contact balance, potentially making him a weapon on early downs and in short-yardage situations. New head coach Ben Johnson had plenty of success in Detroit with a backfield tandem, and while D'Andre Swift can capably fill the lightning role, Monangai will battle with Roschon Johnson to be the thunder.
