A 2024 fifth-round pick, Bertrand was limited to 12 games as a rookie due to injuries. The Notre Dame product played 20-plus snaps four times and overall recorded 18 tackles, including 1.0 sack, in those games. The Falcons signed Divine Deablo to pair with Kaden Elliss in the middle of their defense, plus return Troy Andersen, who has a high upside but can't stay healthy. Bertrand is slated for a backup role but may be the first one on the field if there is an injury to Elliss or Deablo.
