The Cardinals have employed Gardeck on special teams since he joined the pro ranks in 2018 as an undrafted free agent. When he finally got some work on defense in 2020, he had a mini breakout in the form of seven sacks on just 93 snaps. Since then, though, he's mustered only one sack in 28 games over the last two campaigns. Two factors may aid in a revival for Gardeck in the fall: J.J. Watt (retired) and Zach Allen (Denver) aren't on the roster, leaving holes to fill in the pass rush for a new 4-3 scheme.
