Alford began the offseason as a restricted free agent, but the Falcons opted not to tender him, allowing him to test the market. The undrafted CB out of Tusculum was coming off a career-high season in which he was a regular starter in the slot for the first time in his career. Despite the productive campaign, Alford didn't get what he was looking for in free agency and re-signed with Atlanta on a one-year deal to reprise the same role in 2025.
