It's been a turbulent three seasons for Hall and the Jets, but Hall acquitted himself very well given the circumstances throughout. Neither his 2022 ACL tear nor the team-wide collapses in both 2023 and 2024 had anything to do with Hall, who was instead one of the few bright spots on the roster. The previous Jets coaching staff and front office entertained the idea that Hall lacked something as a goal-line runner, thus precipitating the fourth-round selection of Braelon Allen in the 2024 draft, but it's not clear how the previous regime reached such a conclusion. Hall was a touchdown monster at Iowa State, and with the Jets in the NFL the offense hasn't been good enough to supply Hall with a meaningful sample of red-zone opportunities. Now more than two full years recovered from his ACL tear and with Aaron Glenn bringing in a new, hopefully more competent coaching regime, Hall has a chance to reestablish himself as one of the NFL's top running backs in 2025. The Jets will need to call a run-heavy offense with Justin Fields at quarterback, and Hall has otherwise consistently demonstrated plus pass-catching ability in the NFL (133 receptions in his last 33 games). This is a talented player who has had only bad luck in the NFL, and his luck might improve soon.
