Borregales was the first of two kickers taken in the 2025 Draft, going in the sixth round at No. 182 overall to New England. He was a four-year starter at the University of Miami, where he converted 86.5 percent of field-goal attempts and 99.5 percent of PATs, missing just 13 kicks overall and only one in his final season. Borregales is the favorite to become the Patriots' new placekicker but will first need to win a summer job battle against veteran addition John Parker Romo.
