Hill has come a long way since his 2021 Achilles' tendon tear - an injury that easily could have derailed his entire career. That Hill stuck with the program and worked his way back likely did something to endear Hill to the Ravens organization, who stuck with him through four disappointing seasons before Hill finally turned a corner in 2024. Hill appeared to be one of the weaker backup running backs in the league when the Ravens went into last year, but as the year went along Hill only strengthened his grip on the role. It's unclear how much Hill's rushing workload can scale up from last year's modest 47 carries, but if Hill maintains his pass-catching gains from 2024 then it would likely make him one of the league's more effective passing-down specialists. Hill was a workhorse in college for Oklahoma State despite his slight build, so if Derrick Henry were to miss time it's possible Hill would become the Ravens' leading rush back in addition to their lead passing-down back.
