Widely disparaged as a "reach" after Carolina took him 32nd overall last spring, Legette failed to dissuade his detractors in 2024, getting outplayed by a 34-year-old Adam Thielen and undrafted rookie Jalen Coker. Few wideouts match Legette's combination of bulk (6-1, 221) and straight-line speed (4.39 40), but he comes with the usual fluidity limitations that accompany WR prospects his size, in addition to concerns about his lack of production at South Carolina prior to his final collegiate season (he had 1,255 yards as a 22-year-old, fifth-year senior, after 423 total receiving yards his first four seasons). The draft capital and physical tools mean Legette will get a chance to develop and compete for a starting job again, but it won't come as any surprise if he lands only third or fourth on the depth chart even though Carolina's WR room is one of the league's weakest on paper.
