Edwards played all 17 regular-season games with Kansas City in 2023 before struggling to latch on in a consistent role with both Buffalo (three appearances) and Tampa Bay (five appearances) in 2024. He now reunites with the Chiefs on a one-year deal, where Steve Spagnuolo's defense is at least familiar. With both Bryan Cook and second-year safety Jaden Hicks entrenched atop the depth chart, though, Edwards is primed to enter 2025 in merely a depth role.
