Williams' Denver career never quite panned out, but Dallas is placing a one-year bet on the chance that Williams taps back into the tackle-breaking explosiveness he showed in college at North Carolina. As much as Williams never broke out in Denver, his 2021 rookie year was a clear success and his 2022 sophomore year was ended by the knee injury that might have bothered him beyond the 2022 season. The Cowboys have the option of running a rotation between Williams, Miles Sanders and rookie fifth-round pick Jaydon Blue. Sanders is likely a rushing specialist and Blue might be an in-space specialist, but Williams is the slight favorite to lead the group in snaps after accumulating 859 yards from scrimmage on 543 snaps in 2024. If Williams can separate from Sanders and Blue then there could be considerable fantasy value to be had. Dallas might have the league's best interior offensive line, anchored by Tyler Smith and 12th overall pick Tyler Booker at guard, and as a result Dallas might have the league's best power-blocking line, which would suit Williams as the most powerful runner between himself, Sanders and Blue.
