Prescott's season ended Week 9 last year with a torn right hamstring. He wasn't having a great campaign to that point, well off his 2023 pace when he finished as fantasy's QB3. That year, he led the league in on-target percentage at 81.2. Last year, his on-target percentage was a career-low 69.6 -- 30th in the league. His 64.7 completion percentage and 6.9 YPA were both seven-year lows, and he had an 11:8 TD:INT. Prescott really struggled in the intermediate part of the field, completing only 50.8 percent of his passes in the 10-19-yard range, with five touchdowns and six interceptions. His rushing rate was significantly down last season as well, and it probably won't improve this year coming off the injury, though he said in April his hamstring is healthy and he'll be ready for training camp. Brian Schottenheimer, his offensive coordinator the last two years, is now the head coach, but Mike McCarthy called plays, so it's possible the change alters Prescott's equation a bit. The Cowboys finally addressed Prescott's biggest issue, a lack of weapons, by trading for George Pickens in May. A downfield playmaker, Pickens gives Cowboys opponents more to defend than simply CeeDee Lamb, which perhaps will help Prescott in the aforementioned intermediate area. The Cowboys also hope WR Jalen Tolbert will build on his 49-catch season and TE Jake Ferguson will rebound from his zero-TD season. Prescott looks like a borderline starting option in single-QB leagues.
