Hicks began his rookie campaign in a reserve role but earned rotational snaps on defense by mid-season, crossing the 50-percent snap threshold for the first time Week 15 and looked genuinely impressive as a starter during the playoffs. In his seven appearances playing more than half of defensive snaps, including three postseason appearances, Hicks tallied 27 tackles (20 solo) and four pass breakups, including two INTs. He figures to enter Year 2 as an immediate starter.
