Skowronek saw his opportunities and targets dwindle dramatically in 2023, his lowest output of the three years he spent with the Rams. The emergence of Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, along with the continued presence of Cooper Kupp, relegated Skowronek to a heavy role on special teams. He's a versatile wideout who can be used in a variety of roles on offense along with his special teams experience. The Texans pounced when they heard the Rams were moving on from him. The 2021 seventh-rounder caught the eye of Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans when he was defensive coordinator for the 49ers. Skowronek will compete Noah Brown, Michael Woods, John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson for depth roles.
