Smith was once again productive in his 12th NFL season, all with the Vikings. His 3.0 sacks matched his career best, while his three forced fumbles also equaled his career-high mark from 2019. He was used more at the line of scrimmage under new defensive coordinator Brian Flores. He blitzed on 325 of his 992 snaps in 2023, which was twice as much as any prior season, according to ESPN Stats & Information data. At age 35 he could produce enough big plays for fantasy value in deeper formats.
