Slay agreed to remain in Philadelphia on a restructured contract last offseason after briefly appearing to be headed elsewhere. Knee issues limited the 11-year veteran to 12 games, the fewest of his career, but he nonetheless recorded 57 tackles, his most since 2020. He also picked off a pair of passes, taking one to the house. He lines up to start at corner again for the Eagles this season, but much will depend on whether his health holds up in his age-33 season, as he also dealt with a reportedly minor back injury in the wild-card game.
