McDuffie hasn't missed a regular-season game in two years and followed up his All-Pro campaign in 2023 with second-team All-Pro honors in 2024. Having transformed into one of the league's better No. 1 cornerbacks under Steve Spagnuolo, the Chiefs' decision to pick up McDuffie's fifth-year option and extend his rookie deal through 2026 comes as no surprise. Another solid showing in 2025 will essentially guarantee McDuffie a massive second contract, providing extra motivation beyond Kansas City's usual Super Bowl aspirations.
