Johnson is back with the Saints on a three-year, $30.75 million contract after setting career highs in targets (66), catches (50) and receiving yards (548) last season. The converted wide receiver scored only three touchdowns after recording 11 over his first two years as a tight end, but the lack of TDs can be chalked up in large part to the Saints' struggles on offense as a whole. Johnson was limited to just six red-zone targets as the Saints scored 19.9 points per game (tied for eighth fewest). Starting QB Derek Carr missed seven games, and with Carr now retiring, Johnson likely will be held back by poor QB play again. At least Johnson is well positioned for steady playing time, as fellow Saints tight ends Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau are uncertain to be ready for Week 1 after having major knee surgeries late last season.
