Even with the depth of the Eagles' defense, Carter emerged as a near every-down player in 2024. He lined up primarily as a defensive tackle and his biggest impact was the ability to draw double teams to free up other key pass rushers such as Josh Sweat, Milton Williams and Nolan Smith. That isn't to say he didn't make a statistical impact of his own, increasing his total tackles and quarterback pressures (jump from 50 to 75, per PFF) relative to his rookie season. Given his fit in Philadelphia's scheme, it's fair to question whether Carter's fantasy impact will ever match that of his impact on the field. However, his ability to get to the quarterback suggests there's more sack production in his future.
