Smith has settled in as one of the league's best No. 2 receivers, overcoming a lack of team pass volume because Philadelphia's targets are so heavily concentrated. He's averaged between 14.4 and 15.3 PPR points in three straight seasons, with 7-8 TDs and 64-71 yards per game. Pre-draft concerns about Smith's thin frame (6-0, 170) haven't materialized, with injuries costing him just three games in four seasons (although all three of those occurred last year). Physicality also hasn't been a problem, as he's proven to be a competent blocker who can make contested catches downfield or find soft spots between defenders in zone coverage. Of course, Smith can't break tackles or overpower opponents the way A.J. Brown does, and there's not much hope for more than 6-7 targets per game so long as Brown, RB Saquon Barkley and QB Jalen Hurts enjoy relatively healthy campaigns. Smith is probably capable of handling much more volume, but there's not much reason for the Eagles to test that theory when they have a dominant running game, a strong defense and another WR who is even more talented.
