Tranquill re-upped with the Chiefs on a three-year, $19 million deal this offseason following an impressive showing on a one-year contract in 2023. Tranquill concluded the campaign with 79 tackles (54 solo), a pair of forced fumbles and 4.5 sacks despite sitting out all or most of three games - Weeks 13, 14 and 18. The new deal essentially locks in his place as a key fixture in the team's linebacking unit for at least the next 2-3 seasons.
