I know we would all love a deep threat for Drake, but honestly I don’t think it makes much sense to give up draft capital now, they have obviously exceeded expectations, but there is still plenty to be done team building wise, we need a pass rusher, arguably more than a true WR1. We also need a long term RT and C, and another CB to eventually replace Davis. I think that it would make sense to trade for a WR if it were a situation like when the Eagles got Brown, who was starting his prime, not on the tail end of it like he is now. Obviously this would take a lot more capital and somewhat contradict what I said, but if someone like (all impossible) JJ, Chase or Wilson would become available then sure, send the Micah package for them, but otherwise sending a first for someone like Olave or AJB just doesn’t seem like the right move at this point.

Jakobi Meyers, bring him back and he requested a trade earlier, I think he would be the easiest one to trade for, not saying it would be easy

1 Olave or 2 Waddle for Future 3 Aj Brown for this season Pats Should have been trading Kendrick bourne Jabril peppers and Kyle Dugger for extra draft picks instead of Trying to Save a Buck or 2🤑🧐😤

Olave is the smart move long term, but AJ is the play for this season if seriously making a run.

#Patriots OLB Anfernee Jennings has been discussed around the league as a possible trade candidate, per @RapSheet.
Rapoport notes that teams in need of depth could be in the market for the former starter turned backup.
#Patriots WRs coach Todd Downing on rookie WR Efton Chism:
“Efton Chism’s in here at 6am every single morning, and I’m sitting there with a cup of coffee waiting on him. If he’s not there at 6, I’m worried about him.“
The Chizzler’s time will come.
#Patriots RBs coach Tony Dews on rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson:
“When I talk to Josh [McDaniels] and just ask about the guys here in the past… he’s very much on par with what some of the other guys that played early as rookies… He’s continuing to get better.”
#Patriots WR DeMario Douglas on QB Drake Maye’s improvement:
“I wouldn’t say it’s surprising because I always seen his potential… It’s a blessing to have him on this team. When he got that confidence, man, nobody can stop him. His feet, his arm, it’s different.”

Stefon Diggs on the #Patriots’ young WRs:
“They’re hungry… Efton got a little taste last week, and we were all excited for him, even Kyle… I know nobody wanted that go-ball more than Kyle. We’ve been itching for it all year long… Those guys are grinding. They want success.”
The #Patriots have spoken to teams about pass rushers ahead of the trade deadline, per @DMRussini.
Additionally, Russini says that New England has been fielding calls on some of their own players.
Things could unfold much differently than people expect…

The #Patriots finally have a face of the franchise!

Kayshon Boutte on #Patriots WRs coach Todd Downing:
"Great wide receiver coach. I would say probably the best one I’ve had up to this point… He do a tremendous job of keeping us honest with ourself everyday.”
Boutte emphasized that Downing’s taught him a lot about work ethic.
