RB5? RB7? Lower? Higher?

Im thinking RB5 at best, and RB7 at worst. But Ive been told otherwise.
Planning a Dynasty League start up draft: somebody brought up the idea of an 8hr timer for a slow draft saying it would work better than setting a hard date and running it normal.
How has peoples experiences been with slow drafts? Is it better?
