Kelly spent most of the 2022 season on the Browns' practice squad, and the team signed him to a reserve/future contract for what is expected to be a similar role this season. He's been active five times in two seasons with the Browns and mostly played special teams. In theory, with Kareem Hunt and D'Ernest Johnson out of the picture, Kelly could open the season on the active roster, sitting fourth on the depth chart. There's also a chance Cleveland gets by with their rostered backs for OTAs before reassessing the running back room leading up to training camp.
