As the coming season approaches, Funk will look to secure a depth spot in a Colts' backfield that's led by Jonathan Taylor and also includes Zack Moss, Deon Jackson and Evan Hull. The 5-10, 205-pounder was originally selected by the Rams in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, and has yet to secure a steady role as a pro. In six games last season (five with the Rams and one with the Colts) the 25-year-old did not record a carry or catch, while logging the bulk of his snaps on special teams.
