Zuerlein has one year remaining on his contract and doesn't seem likely to stick around with the Jets under the current terms. He has a $4.1 million base salary, with no guarantees, after missing six field-goal attempts in eight games last season and then sitting out the final nine games with a knee injury. Zuerlein was excellent in 2023, making 92.1 percent of field-goal attempts, but his accuracy has otherwise been average, and he no longer boasts one of the strongest legs in the league at age 38. If he does end up kicking for another season, it won't necessarily be for the Jets. And if it is with the Jets, he may have to adjust his contract first.
