Taken in the seventh round in 2023, McBride never got elevated from the practice squad last year by the Vikings, but some patience is to be expected given his potential. The UAB product has the size, power and elusiveness to develop into an early-down option in the NFL, but a lack of pass-catching skills and ball security issues in college hurt his draft stock. Minnesota brought in Aaron Jones this offseason, but only on a one-year deal. If McBride takes a step forward in his development, he could become a big part of the team's 2025 backfield plans.
