Texans Allowed Pressures through 5 weeks and % of dropbacks with some responsibility for them:
C.J. Stroud - 7.7% (8th/38 best)
OL - 71.2% (3rd)
LT - 19.2% (15th)
LG - 15.4% (13th)
C - 11.5% (20th)
RG - 17.3% (20th)
RT - 19.2% (15th)
ITE - 1.9% (21st)
OTH - 21.2% (1st)
There have been a LOT of issues for the Texans RBs in pass protection but overall much better than last year even if there are other factors.

If the season were to end today the Texans would pick:
11
43
47
73
111
115
For a team that is going to have to pay a lot of top end players coming up that is potentially really huge for the future.
AFC as open as it’s been in a LONG time.
Texans have a real chance next week vs a good Seattle team to show up and get themselves into a real position to push for a run down the stretch.
The Texans worked out the following OTs today via PatTalksTexans on X:
Nicholas Petit-Frere
D’Ante Smith
Will Anderson Jr. through 6 weeks via @NextGenStats:
20.8% QBP (1st)
15 Quick Pressures (1st)
0.75 Get Off (3rd)
2.45 TTP (6th)
26 Pressures (3rd)
Should be a top contender for DPOTY.
Elaborating on my Jaguars turnover variance take from these last week or so:
QBs facing the Jaguars & Trevor Lawrence have the same amount of TWPs & Fumbles via PFF with 8 TWPs and 2 Fumbles.
- For Lawrence, those have resulted in 6 turnovers (60%)
- For QBs facing Jacksonville that has resulted in TWELVE turnovers (120%)
You cannot sustain that kind of play over a whole season sample size.
Where Texans DBs rank in Coverage EPA through 6 weeks:
4. Jalen Pitre (-16.6)
29. Calen Bullock (-5.3)
130. Derek Stingley Jr. (+5.4)
142. Kamari Lassiter (+7.5)
Worth every penny for JP5.
NFL Teams in the Top 12 in EPA/Play on offense & defense currently (before week 6 games) via @NextGenStats

Colts are genuinely a very good football team but the Jags don’t really scare me.
They are very lucky to be 4-2 with poor QB play and their defense forcing an unsustainable amount of turnovers.
Indy is really good however and that’s going to be really tough to catch.
