Sam Darnold is a good example of good staffs fixing bad habits for QBs.
Texans need to fire the right guys for CJ and build a team for what he does well or he will fail.
I’m not completely out on Nick Caley YET though but we will see if he can stick with what worked well.

Every C.J. Stroud dropback vs the Tennessee Titans in Week 4:
This game is easily the most comfortable and decisive Stroud has looked since probably early 2024.
The Texans are opening the practice window for DE Denico Autry & DB Jaylen Reed via HC Demeco Ryans.
Houston will have 2 open 53 man roster spots once the Cam Robinson trade is finalized.
C.J. Stroud has been pressured on just 34.5% of his dropbacks this season which is the lowest of his career and currently 17th in the NFL.
There are reasons for this like more quick that don’t necessarily involve the Texans OL but give that group their flowers because they have been much better.

Ed Ingram is the highest graded OG in the NFL through 4 weeks via @PFF:
Ingram is first in overall grade (85.6, next closest is 76.3) & RBLK Grade (90.6, next closest is 82.3)
He was the highest graded Texan vs Tennessee with a 88.9 Overall Grade.
I’ve been critical of the Texans process and I think they have deserved it but I have to give a ton of credit for the changes within this last week from FO & Staff.
- Demeco makes big changes within CJGJ/Burke that worked.
- Caserio gets off Robinson deal + the line has looked improved
- Caley has figured some things out in the last 5ish quarters
- More Speed less Henry
- More Woody/Higgins
Let’s keep it rolling.
The Texans are trading OT Cam Robinson to the Browns for a 2027 late round swap (6th to Texans and 7th to Cleveland) according to @jjones9.
Robinson played in just one game for the Texans.
The Houston Texans offense today statistically via RBSDM:
C.J. Stroud:
- 0.31 EPA/Play (highest since 2023 WC)
- 11.6 Total EPA added (highest since 2024 W4)
8.1 CPOE (81st percentile)
Offense:
-0.03 EPA/Rush (65th percentile and highest this season)
76.9% Series Conversion Rate (79th Percentile)
0.07 EPA/Play (67th percentile)
Momentum for the Texans offense…
Texans team/pick watch in week 4:
- Texans win (1-3)
- Jaguars win (3-1)
- Colts lose (3-1)
- Titans lose (0-4)
- Commanders lose (2-2)
- Giants win (1-3)
A pretty good day for Houston all things considered.
