Cal is a switch hitting catcher who hit 60 bombs. Seattle doesn’t make the playoffs without him no doubt. That should be the definition of MVP

Personally I think MVP should go to the guy that most contributed to their teams success. I would vote Cal in that situation.

Cal has also played 248 more innings in field than Judge. Judge may be the most valuable hitter, but the most valuable PLAYER is Cal Raleigh.
Judge gets all the time he wants to think about hitting, Cal runs an entire pitching staff, plus all the punishment a catcher takes behind the plate. Cal deserves this years MVP.

Dumper, the job he did behind the plate with that staff has been greatly overlooked. imagine his numbers if he just grazed in right field all day

Judge, unfortunately. Makes me sick to agree with Yankees fans. 9.2 WAR is outrageous, and pretty much the definition of what an MVP is. As much as I love Cal and how likable the Mariners are, just being a switch hitting catcher doesn’t make him an MVP, it is pretty cool though
