He’s the backup but the offense will be running a lot of 12 personnel and the top 2 targets are not field stretchers. Arroyo stresses the seams and Darnold likes to throw downfield. Kubiak loved his deep shots in NO. There was a 2 yd RB curl to Martinez which went for 13 because Arroyo took 2 linebackers and a DB 15yds upfield on what looked like a post route. Blocking was okay. Kubiak schemed him into a flat route on the Charb TD run following his first catch which pulled the outside defender- clever play calling can cover for some limitations if Arroyo is a receiving threat
