Ladies and gentlemen, teammates, coaches, family, and fans—
Today, I want to take a moment to reflect on what drives us, and to shine a light on someone who embodies that drive: Ashton Jeanty.
Ashton, you’ve shown us that greatness isn’t just about talent—it’s about consistency, work ethic, and heart. Every time you step onto the field, you remind us that effort beats excuses, that discipline beats doubt, and that faith fuels the fight. You carry yourself with resilience and humility, proving that leadership isn’t always about being the loudest voice, but about setting the strongest example.
To our younger athletes watching, take note: Ashton’s story shows that success doesn’t come overnight. It comes from showing up every day, grinding when no one is watching, and believing in yourself when obstacles are staring you in the face. That’s the kind of mindset that turns potential into performance, and dreams into reality.
Now, I want to pause and say thank you—
Thank you, Ashton, for the way you’ve inspired this team and this community. Thank you for the countless hours you’ve dedicated, for the sacrifices you’ve made, and for always giving your all. Thank you for showing us that excellence is not an act, but a habit.
And thank you to the teammates, coaches, family, and fans who support Ashton and this program—you are the foundation that makes all of this possible.
So let this moment be both a celebration and a challenge. A celebration of Ashton’s hard work and impact, and a challenge to all of us: to give as much heart, as much dedication, and as much faith to our own paths as he gives to his.
Because if Ashton has taught us anything, it’s this: the journey is never easy, but it’s always worth it.
