Dear Buffalo Bills Defense,
I hope this letter finds you well-rested — you’re going to need it.
It’s nothing personal. Really. But when that whistle blows and the ball is in my hands, I’m not looking at you as players. I’m looking at you as obstacles. And I’ve made a career out of moving obstacles.
Some of you might remember what happened last time. Some of you might still be trying to forget. The stiff-arms, the broken tackles, the scoreboard. But memories fade — bruises don’t.
You pride yourselves on being physical. So do I. But there’s a difference between hitting and getting hit by a 6’3”, 247-pound train that doesn’t slow down in December... or September... or ever.
Game plan all you want. Stack the box, bring the safeties down, sell out on the run — it won’t matter. Because the thing about trying to stop me is this: the more you try, the worse it gets.
You don’t just have to tackle me.
You have to tackle me again.
And again.
And again.
Until the clock says 0:00 or your will gives out — whichever comes first.
So I’ll see you soon. And when I do, I’ll bring my pads, my helmet, and just enough disrespect to remind you why they call me King Henry.
