Many assume Marks has taken over as RB1 and that Chubb’s best days are behind him. But that’s far from the truth. When healthy, Chubb has always been one of the league’s elite — finishing inside the top ten in each of the four seasons before his injury.
Injuries held him back the last two years, but he finally looks healthy again. He may not yet be at full strength, yet his burst, balance, and power are clearly back. At 29, he’s still a fierce competitor, a team-first player, and one of the toughest runners in football.
Despite a snap share under 50%, he’s averaging 4.3 yards per carry, 6.6 per reception, and has scored twice. The numbers don’t jump off the page, but his last outing showed flashes of vintage Chubb — breaking tackles, accelerating past defenders, and setting the tone physically.
It’s his first season with a new team behind an offensive line that’s still finding rhythm. As that unit improves, expect Chubb’s production to rise.
I’m bullish on Chubb — and you should be too. Sure, Marks might end up as RB1 this season, but Chubb is the far safer bet and, in my view, the more valuable asset.
