Lol all the people saying 5+ games bc Addison got 3 don't have a clue. 1st DUI is automatic 3 games under their Substances of Abuse Policy .... thats set in stone. Drunk driving kills wayyyyyy more people. Ruggs was so drunk he hit a STOPPED vehicle at 130 MPH killing someone. Meanwhile suspensions for the Personal Conduct Policy start from ONE game & go up.
Now add in the fact Addison just a year before got pulled over for going 140 MPH lo (in a Lambo Urus... same type of vehicle Rice was driving lol)l. Then a year later he was so drunk he passed out in his car ON THE ON RAMP TO A FREEWAY & was literally blocking traffic 🤦🏼♂️. Put those 2 together & u get another Ruggs situation. Hes actually lucky he didnt get 4 games.
The 2 examples closest to Rices are -
- Aldrick Rosas who got 4 games (was a repeat offender/was drinking & driving/had no license bc of previous DUIs/was going 80-100 MPh on a regular city road that has crosswalks, redlights, etc/ran a redlight at 80 MPH & tboned someone/fled the scene then his truck broke down so he ran on foot & they later found him on the side of a road all bloody)
- Brandin Echols got ONE game (got felony charges after driving like a maniac on the highway going up to 111 MPH swerving across all lanes & ended up running another driver up a guardrail flipping their vehicle & semi paralyzing the guy 👀 .... then, just like Rice just did, he did a pretrial deal for Diversion where if he does the probation the entire case & his 2 charges get completely dismissed)
Based on precedent they have already set just dont see how Rice gets more than 2-3 games. Especially when during their investigation the NFL looks at the police report & sees that it says SMU WR Teddy Knox CAUSED that wreck (while Rosas & Echols 100% caused theirs). It says Knox turned into the back of the Lambo Rice was driving causing Rice to hit the wall & spin out hitting other vehicles. 🤷🏼♂️
