While Ross hung around with the Chiefs during the 2023 season, he didn't carve out a significant role on offense, finishing the year with just six grabs for 53 yards on 11 targets. Kansas City's front office upgraded the position this offseason, acquiring Marquise Brown through free agency and Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The pickups sink returning wideouts Ross, Skyy Moore, Justin Watson and Kadarius Toney on the depth chart. That said, Richie James returned to the free agent market this offseason, and Rashee Rice likely faces a suspension to open the year, so Ross still has a path to a roster spot.
