Question for you guys How do you feel about jeanty? Does the fact that he played in a weaker conference and got shut down by Penn state make you concerned? 104 yards on 30 rushes 3 ypc Ok maybe not (shut down) but you get what I'm saying
I think as long as he doesn’t go to a team with an awful o-line or one that doesn’t have a passing attack he should do well. (A team like the cowboys would be a great fit for him).
Ashton Jeanty is going to end up being amazing. Only way he doesn't is if he goes to a team that doesn't play him, which isn't going to happen. He was far from shut down by Penn State That's the problem with the hype is you have people that go that's not possible and then you have people that get disappointed when somebody doesn't live up to the insane level they put them at because of the hype once. Penn State is also one of the best defenses in college. Boise state's o-line/QB if you watch Ashton Jeanty highlights is absolutely awful too, 66 might be one of the worst offensive lineman in the history of college football The dude is on the ground more than he's standing up. He was regularly hit in the backfield. The whole small school argument/conference biased is always so ridiculous, All that is is people that have favoritism for college football programs. Or believe with our a doubt what these college announcers that went to these big schools are telling you. Barry Sanders Walter Payton Corey Dillon OJ Simpson there are so many good running backs that went to small schools. Not to mention plenty of other positions. Anyone that won't just straight up admit that he's going to be good whether he's generational or not are just scared to be wrong.
No worries.
I'm not overly concerned about the conference he played in, or his performance against Penn State, there defense plan was stack the box, don't let Jeanty beat us, KC did the same thing to Saquon, and I'm not letting that affect where I have him ranked, besides the ypc stat the other two scream he is a work horse true four down back, take him, but it's good to know there are others out there that are at least a little cautious, good for you, were he lands in the NFL, can make a difference, back to Barkley in NYG as an example
@cwmoorez OJ Simpson also went to City Central college of San Francisco and played 2yrs with them before transferring to USC. Jackson State University, Mississippi. Just because somebody plays at a large school does not mean that's where they started. Look at the NIL program now. Yeah it's the name brand biased It's the same thing with buying clothes or anything people go that's not as good because I don't know it because it's small. That's one of the biggest problems with college football, especially is that all of the announcers played at the largest schools in the nation because most of them were failed NFL players or were nothings after they got out of college so they went in to sports media. It's also why certain schools are always at the top of the rankings because a lot of it has to do with press vote.
Look at Josh Allen, played at freaking Wyoming and now he's arguably one of the best fantasy quarterbacks.
These larger school players usually have higher chance of busting not because they're not talented but because they never had to actually have to try to be good. So they never learn how to be the best, or what that takes. It's one of my biggest problems with some of these touted players and why I know certain schools players are way overrated.
