10 team SF I was offered the 1.07 and 2.01 for Bryce Young. My other QBs are Lamar, JJ, and Darnold. Are you sticking with Bryce or taking the picks? Im looking to upgrade at WR this offseason

LilGrinder 3 months ago

If youre trying to upgrade I would do this deal, or see what you can get for Darnold and decide which gets you more value.

LilGrinder 3 months ago

JJ value is unknown an youre not likely to get any good offers for him

GreggyBys 3 months ago

Thanks @LilGrinder Agree I‘d like to move Darnold if possible over Bryce. All QB needy teams want to wait and see where he lands in FA before making any deals. I think in this situation I should hold, the picks are tempting though

LilGrinder 3 months ago

Yeah, id wait and see where Darnold goes, then make your move.

I’d take that trade. That’s a full first more than his value

A440 3 months ago

I’m not at all worried about out your QBs. Between JJM and Darnold, you’ll at least have one, probably two QBs

cvgibbs 3 months ago

Fair value but Bryce did look pretty good after being benched

A440 3 months ago

I’d also still disagree. A good QB is not a game changer. A great one is. He’s already got one of maybe 5 I’d consider difference makers. Past those, there are ones to avoid, but largely they produce the same.

I also know these picks are going to increase in value as we get closer to the draft

If people horde them and devote lots of resources to them, then demand goes up, which drives up price. It’s artificially inflated, but since even an average QB serves a real purpose in a flex spot, the demand can’t help but rise

@A440 appreciate all your thoughts! Gives me another perspective to think about, and has me really considering taking this deal

A440 3 months ago

I will tell you in all honestly, in the SF leagues I’ve won where the QB value was overinflated, I won with 1 solid (but not top) QB. That’s the case in all but 1 of the leagues (where I happened to have more QBs)

A440 3 months ago

The reason being, the total resources of the league are a set value. Since all teams seek a complete and winning team, if the whole league is overspending on QBs, that means they aren’t spending it on other positions. This also means the other positions somewhat limited prices (usually because everyone wants more resources to grab QBs). Often means you can stack every other position pretty easily, and if you can do that, you lose little at the flex spot without a QB in it. The main reason why QBs in a flex are so strong is because they’re consistent and score highly, and typically in a flex spot, people are putting RB3/WR4/TE2 so the comparison gives significant advantage to the QB side. However, if you’re putting an RB/WR2 or a TE1 or better, it minimizes the advantage which highlights your advantage at every other position.

smash that for sure

great takes both ways, if I had to start one of JJ Darnold or Young I would hold Young, but it really would depend on how my league values picks and players because I would package the picks with one or package two QBs for a different number two quarterback Nix, Maye/Purdy/ even Baker if I got lucky, I really don't have much faith in any of the three for different reasons

JMOTED 3 months ago

Every league economy is different. I’d rather have Bryce over any QB in this class— and where is the top QB going in Rookie Drafts? I think it may take more than adding 2.01 to 1.07 to get down to 1.03, so this isn’t automatic

JMOTED 3 months ago

If you like Bryce— keep him. Otherwise, grab the dice and roll away….

having a dilemma. currently have the 1.04 in rookie 1qb league draft. i needed rb depth bad and was targeting henderson with the pick. after speaking with some league mates im painting the picture on how the draft will go. 1.01-jeanty 1.02-hampton 1.03-henderson that being said im stuck here. do i trade the 1.04 for proven rb talent already or take judkins i guess

12 tm / 1 qb / ppr What do we do with the 1.06?? Seems like in my league, the current order as of now will be: Jeanty 1.01, Hampton 1.02, Judkins 1.03, Henderson 1.04, Tet 1.05. Better to stick and pick?? If so, who? Or would it better to trade it away when I’m on the clock? And if so for who?
