12 man PPR Dynasty SF TEP Started a rebuild with a huge trade to a contender. Sent: Taylor, Metcalf, Adams, Sutton, and Moss Received: C. Williams, Tillman, Wicks, Spears, ‘25 2.03, ‘26 mid/late 2nd. Initial reaction by my league was that I got roasted, but I’m thrilled with the trade. Thoughts?

Yeah I would agree with your league you got burnt. Like Caleb and Tillman but definitely think there needs to be a 1st in 26-27 in that trade.

@TimeJew Yeah it's been happening a ton since the last redesign. Understand, I mean you got a QB out of the trade. You basically overpaid Metcalf. But like you said it's done nothing to do about it now lol

I don’t mind the pieces you got, there is a fair amount of upside there. However, where I think you went wrong is overvaluing their upside. You valued the players as if their upside is already realized, but that’s not the case. Now they MUST realize that potential for this to be a success, and there’s plenty of reason to believe they will not realize that potential. All in all, I’m inclined to agree with your league. Williams and JT are roughly a wash in value. The picks almost wash out with Adams and Sutton, but Metcalf is worth well more than those upside players (which are third rounds at best or even throw away toss-ins). I’d agree with the majority, you’re off by about a low-mid first. The upside players compensate for giving up by far the best players in the deal.

@john4ducks @LacesOut715 The 2.03 kinda feels like a 1st this year with how deep this class is. And obviously I’m cooked if Williams doesn’t become an Elite QB that dominates for the next 10 years

I probably could’ve gotten the 1st if I waited and didn’t force a trade.

@EskimoTribe yeah I should’ve gotten that 1st, but I won’t feel too bad if Caleb shows potential and has a top 10 season this year.

I’ll gladly overpay for a 22yr old QB who can dominate for the next decade… it’s a big if tho
