SF dynasty. Just did this trade. Give: Hurts Recieve: 2025 1.07, 2026 1st, 2027 first. How bad is it? My other QBs are Bryce, Tlaw, Fields, and Rodgers.

Believe me though, in a 12tm SF, if you have 4 QBs, they will come to you when they get desperate. You never need to force the sale of a top end QB

If you assume your team has a finite total value. You are taking a large portion of that value and putting it in stasis. It will not gain value in that time and cannot be used aside from trading away the future value. That’s opportunity cost. In monetary terms, it’s similar to Time Value of Money (TVM). In layman’s terms, one in the hand is worth two in the bush, but this doesn’t really convey the reasons.

The key is, during that time, that value is not helping you. There is a cost to that, and that’s why those firsts are not worth firsts right now.

I’d say hold right now. Long term might be Hurts and Bryce. I’d be hoping for a Liam Cohen bump for TLaw and then trading him, or see if Fields gets a gig and trade him. But like someone else said, no need to seek out a trade, they’ll come to you. And the price will be higher during the season or just before.

You basically just took the only way for that team to replace its really old stars with all of those picks. His team is just going to keep getting worse. which means your draft picks get better
