12 team PPR Rebuilding Dynasty: Give JT and Jacobs. Get: Mlik Washington, 1.08, nd my '26 1st that will probably be early.
How did that happen? Anyway, I get it cuz I was that lucky team once
So I guess getting your own pick back in this situation is helpful, but it sounds like it was instantly declined, which I fully understand (that's why I said no to my guy when I had his pick)
All that’s left is middling QBs (in a 1-qb) and middling TEs and the guys I mentioned
Jacobs and JT
He does have Love, Nix, and Kraft, so may not need to put a lot in those areas, but they’re not going to be strong enough to compete given the rest.
I knew it was a no the second I saw Malik Washington in a trade involving JT and Jacobs lol
^^^My brain
GET OUT OF MY HEAD STEVEN
Doesn’t matter, dude declined, so not worth rehashing.
But the layout is strewn throughout the thread. Team is in rough condition
Trade was primarily about the picks. But dude needs some upside, so I told him to look for upside throw in prospects, like Malik
If the guy isn’t willing to give you 2 firsts for those 2 then he’s not a trade partner for you @SurvivorTiger
Nix in a 1-qb league is a pseudo JAG. Could be worth more, but I’m currently projecting him as a capable starter, but not a difference maker. Same with Love. In an SF, you’d actually have something to work with, but not in a 1-qb. Just cuz QBs don’t carry much value except the very tippity top
So is there a world where trading these guys at a later date might bring a little better return
I don’t really recommend looking for draft cap for this year anyways, as it’s heavy in positions you don’t really need. You want prospects that should grow to be dominant in the next year or two and draft cap for 26+. That, along with avid WW play, and development of your younger players will coincide right when you are getting back to full strength
@SurvivorTiger I think chances are good you'll be better off holding both of these rbs until in season. Likely you'll get a 26 1st out of Jacobs and + for JT when selling to a competitor. While I like the idea of reclaiming your own 1st, I almost wouldn't worry about it now. Realistically everyone can see that your team is poor and will overcharge you for it. It's less than ideal that you don't have it, but it'll probably cost more than it's worth. Both players can put up RB1 number in season, I wouldn't force a deal today.
Fuck no lol
@A440 yeah. And I think he has heard the input, but I don’t think repeated advice about rebuilding is what the young bucks want to hear. No matter how common rebuilding is amongst all leagues and experience levels.
@SurvivorTiger I know you think you can turn it around overnight and I love the effort, but this is a couple years of work. You’ll get there with patience and when you do you’ll be old enough to appreciate turning the tables on the league. Until then. Join a redraft or some best ball leagues to give you the compete now juice. If you want to win this dynasty league you’re in there are no quick fixes
