🚨🏈Dynasty PPR Asking for Higgins and 25’ pick 2.05 a fair ask for CMC? Originally was offered Higgins for my CMC

While I agree that Higgins is worth more in long term value, Higgins is not worth more than CMC immediately. I think people who love Higgins ignore a LOT of his downside and assume that will all go away if he gets traded (to which team? Situation matters). He’s been highlighted at times in this offense, but comes off to me as a player who either can’t stay on the field, or doesn’t put forth the effort because he’s not the star of the show. Regardless of which it is, that spells problems to me. Their values are close, for sure. And honestly…trading them now you may still be able to get a little extra for CMC (maybe a mid 2nd is too much…maybe mid-third to low-second). I will say that if you don’t move CMC now before the season ends, you’ll likely need to wait until just before the season opening. His value will drop significantly over the offseason, and only raise (along with all veterans) as excitement for the season rises.

So if moving CMC is a priority, then it might be worth not messing with it and just grabbing the trade now. It’s close to even either way, so squabbling over low value picks ignores the long term goal.

TEE is worth more in my dynasty leagues. Maybe you have a particular league economy that hyper-values RBs, but if not, this is TEE 100%— the 2.05 won’t even get me out of bed

Fair ask, 2nd round of rookies is questionable, dependingon what you know about them, Tee is steady, but not excellent, but will be better as a #1 on a new team, but depends on the team and CMC will be back next year. Fair deal, take Tee and the 2nd.

CMC doesn’t have the lifespan anymore

Honestly, the devaluation of CMC in this thread reeks of the same things said about Henry last year, and to a lesser extent, Barkley. Henry could be had for a mid-2nd in February last year, by mid-summer, he was going for a late first. Mid first by end of summer. After the first quarter season, both cost multiple 25 firsts. It’s not a direct comparison, but this legitimately is a win-now vs win-later conversation. That’s assuming you believe Higgins will get better, otherwise he’s just a piece like many others.
