Rules
You rule my man!
We had a scenario during Championship week where a team had an illegal roster because Hollywood Brown was taken off IR by Kansas City. We had an auction on Friday and at the time he was on IR. Later in the day, he became active which resulted in the owner being 1 player over the roster. By the time it was brought to my attention (as the Commissioner) Hollywood Brown was already playing (Saturday game). The solution I went with was to instruct the owner to release someone on her bench (since Brown had already registered 6 points, it wouldn't be right to allow her to drop him. But it also isn't right that her opponent didn't have the ability to pick up a player that she would end up dropping. There were no adverse effects to the outcome since the other team blew her out, but I want to find a solution that's fair in the future that I don't have to monitor if possible. Yes, I am aware that Sleeper won't allow roster moves like auto subs, swapping starters out, and picking up players while you're over the limit, but in this case, her roster was already set. I have also sent a request to Sleeper to allow push notifications to the owner or commissioner of Illegal Lineups. Currently, as far as I know, you are alerted only when you enter the app and go to your team page. Also, Sleeper will notify when a player has been activated from IR, but again, it would nice to be notified of the illegal lineup.
I don't see there is an issue here at all. She's locked from making changes until taking Hollywood out of IR, and else lineups are set.
One idea I had was for all playoff teams to clear out their IR players at season's end by placing on the active roster or cutting them.
the rule for our league is roster max of 15. Due to Brown's activation, she had a 16 player roster.
so that is breaking the rule
of course, to your point, the solution could be to let it ride and let her deal with Sleeper
sleeper's consequences of limited moves
but you can see how an owner might circumvent the rule as a means of stashing the player long enough so that the opponent can't have the opportunity
Broke no rules
Sleeper us programmed to allow it
If you want to alter the settings
Should be done during season
Before season I meant
Can't wait till playoffs to start switching things
No problem in season no problem during playoffs
You create a ton of problems emptying ir before playoffs
Do u cut say Kamara who may/may not play
Or if u hold Kamara u gotta cut a guy who is definately playing
This is 1st I ever heard anyone have issue w this tbh.
