Dobbins IR, we have Henry, Jones, Tracy and a pretty good shot the playoffs. Traded Swift for Dobbins, didnt end well. Whatever. Current RBs on waiver/free Spears, Allgeier, McNichols (14), McCormick (waiver next week), Abdullah, Ford. Ekeler went on IR as well Who to fill up with?
Alleiger for me @GipsyChimp
@ChefBoyRPete ok, interesting. Didn't watch falcons too much this year. Thought Bijan gets more and more. Even with Ekeler out no McNichols? What your thoughts about McCormick for waiver next week? We have 1 for a long time. Planned to use it for dropping Henry in 14, to pick up a 2nd kicker to not loose Fairbairn and get him in 15 again π
Did you watch yesterday? Either chiefs had no plan for him because no tape or preparation possible but running 7+ vs Chiefs Run Defense is insane
5+ I mean π
Id pick up Allegier
@ChefBoyRPete fair point. Very good Analysis. What are your thoughts on Ray Davis and Vidal as direct backup? Don't want to pick one of Chargers backfield anymore honestly. Too crowded now with 2-way or even 3-way share now. Davis i feel like is similar too Allgeier maybe. We had him a few weeks. Thought he could get Cooks role in the depth chart but Cook plays too good as well
I am quite high in Davis, I put him in the same tier of elite handcuffs as alleiger @GipsyChimp
@ChefBoyRPete nice thanks: would you have Davis over Benson or Corum in a Keeper League as well? We already have Bucky, Tracy, Lloyd and Benson as potential 13-15 round keeper (3 Keeper possible) Conner's contract got extended today but I was pretty sure Benson would take over at some point Conner being 29
This is a bit more challenging of an outlook to make. There are ALOT of really talented running backs coming into the league next year. A lot of backs that can handle high workload or have 3 down skillsets. I really do like Davis, but you mist also keep in mind that he is a day 3 draft pick and he was a bit of an older prospect. Usually you like for rbs to have round 3 draft capital or higher, but this is obviously not a set in stone rule. If you flash talent. A cheap running back is a cheap running back, and teams usually only view them as a rookie deal type investment. 2nd contracts are gravy. Typically higher drafted guys get many more chances to prove themselves due to team investment though. Players like Pacheco, Kyren, ekler etc clearly show that you can find elite talent in the later rounds and have a stud for years, however players like alleiger or James Robinson show you that some teams who hit on a guy in the later rounds, regardless of output will just replace them if a new shiny toy is available. Bijan for alleiger or etienne for Robinson. I know I didn't really tell you anything definitive lol, but you kinda try to navigate the future landscape with what you see in current prospects I would roll with whatever backs you like. It's entirely up to you, but Based on all this, and a bit of team need I would probably personally rank them: Benson, bucky > Tracy, Davis > Lloyd, corum However, keep in mind, I have been wrong in the past hahah, I am more of a wide receiver savant than I am a running back ball knower hahah @GipsyChimp
