I mean the value lies with Smith atm. He’s a sure thing and rookies are not. if you are trading smith for BTJ, you need to sweeten the pot. That being said, I WANT BTJ for 2 reasons and you need to believe them both for him to be better than smith. 1) I still believe in TLaw emerging into a super star and reestablishing his 1st overall draft capital. 2) I believe that BTJ can improve routes and is a more multidimensional WR than displayed at LSU.

btj could get to ths level but not yet... we dont even know (though he should) if he will take the X

so trade a borderline top 10 guy for a predicted top 10 guy? your predicting btj to be top 10? sounds like an overreaction. at least get something on the btj side if you want to make this trade 1 for 1 is easily the vet here

Agreed that it’s easily smith, he’s a proven commodity. However i always trade my proven commodities for the rookies I believe in. What’s important is to make sure you are gaining additional value.

For example, I traded JJ for G. Wilson, Sam laporta, and a 2024 2nd in the middle of the season last year. JJ is the best there is, but I capitalized on the down value of Wilson and the unknown long term value of laporta…
